WATER--- BENEFITS YOUR BODY--"Come Thirsty"!!!

"Whoever drinks the water I give will never be thirsty. The water I give will become a Spring of Water gushing up inside that person, giving Eternal Life." John 4:14

"Out of His Heart will Flow Rivers of Living Water." John 7:37-38

1. Drinking Water WILL HELP You Lose FAT by suppressing your appetite naturally (will help you not eat as much) and helps your body to metabolize (burn) more body fat.
2. Drinking Water WILL REDUCE Muscle Soreness by helping to rid the body of waste products such as lactic and uric acid---Which leads to sore muscles, ligaments, and tendons.
3. Drinking Water WILL REDUCE JOINT Pain (Lower back/ Knees/ Hips/ETC) by lubricating your joints. It will also help reduce daily joint wear and tear, and pain (arthritis pain).
4. Drinking more Water will help REDUCE MUSCLE CRAMPING by maintaining proper muscle tone by giving your muscles the natural ability to contract and by preventing dehydration (dehydration leads to an increased risk of muscle cramping).
5. Drinking more water WILL REDUCE DAILY FATIGUE and INCREASE Your ENERGY LEVEL. We need water to breathe properly so our lungs can be moist to take in oxygen and get rid of carbon dioxide.
6. WATER GIVES YOU MORE ENERGY by Improving your digestive function and organ efficiency. (Reduced risks for constipation/ diarrhea/ abdominal cramping).
7. Water SPEEDS YOUR BODIES HEALING PROCESS AFTER AN INJURY, or SPEEDS RECOVERY from DAILY Work. Water is needed by the body to speed the recovery processes of your working, aging, body after an injury or a hard days work by removing the waste products from your body.

It is Recommended for you and your family to purchase a PUR water filter for your home drinking water faucet and/ or use a BRITA water filtration system to keep your BODY HEALTHY!!

The Prayer of the Thirsty by Max Lucado from his book "Come Thirsty"

Lord, I come Thirsty. I come to drink, to receive. I receive your work on the cross and in your resurrection. My sins are pardoned (forgiven), and my death is defeated. I receive your energy. Empowered by your Holy Spirit, I can do ALL things through Christ, who gives me strength. I receive your Lordship. I belong to you. Nothing comes to me that hasn't passed through you. And I receive your LOVE. Nothing can seperate me from your LOVE.

Sunnybrook is pumping up! With the launch of the brand-new Sunnybrook WELLness ministry that started last October, we want to encourage and equip people to have healthy lifestyles that glorify God."Since our hearts, souls, and minds are contained within our physical bodies, caring for our bodies is an act of stewardship and worship that glorifies God," says Erik Nieuwenhuis, a key leader in the ministry. One of the ways the WELLness Ministry is encouraging health is by offering “Pump and Praise” three days each week in Sunnybrook's gym. (A complete summer schedule is below.)

Pump and Praise is a total-body workout that will get your heart, lungs and muscles pumping and praising! The workout will build strength, cardiovascular fitness, flexibility, balance and coordination in a fun environment. This workout can be tweaked for all ages and fitness levels. During the 45 minute sessions participants will warm up, workout at stations for 30 to 40 minutes with your encouragement partner, learn total body wellness tips and cool down as a group. We also end each session with Prayer and Praise!! Praise music is played throughout the sessions.

Join us for Pump and Praise--- 3 days each week in 2006 and be a part of Sunnybrook WELLness (No Cost Required)!

1 Corinthians 6: 19-20 “Do you not know that your Body is a Temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore, Honor God with your Body.”

Romans 12: 1-2 “Therefore, I urge you brothers, in view of God’s Mercy, to offer your bodies as “Living Sacrifices”, Holy and Pleasing to God…this is your Spiritual act of worship. Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is; His good, pleasing and Perfect will.”

”Pump and Praise” will take part in the Sunnybrook Community Church Gym at

Scripture References: (Amplified version of the Bible)

1 Corinth 6:19-20 "Do you not know that your body is the Temple (the very sanctuary) of the Holy Spirit Who lives within you, Whom you have received (as a gift) from God? You are not your own, You were bought with a price (purchased with a preciousness and paid for, made His own). So then, honor God and bring Glory to Him in your Body."

Romans 12:1-2 "I appeal to you therefore, breathern, and beg of you in view of (All) the mercies of God, to make a decisive dedication of your bodies (presenting all your members and faculties) as a Living Sacrifice, Holy (devoted, consecrated) and well pleasing to God, which is your reasonable (rational, intelligent) service and spiritual worship. Do not be conformed to this world (this age), (fashioned after and adapted to its external, superficial customs), but be transformed (changed) by the (entire) renewing of your mind (by its new ideals and its new attitude), so that you may prove (for yourselves) what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God, even the thing which is good and acceptable and perfect (in His sight for you)."

Mark 12:30-31 "And you shall Love the Lord your God out of and with your whole heart and out of and with all your soul (your life) and out of and with all your mind (with your faculty of thought and your moral understanding) and out of and with all your strength (physical body). This is the first and principal commandment. The second is like it and is this, You shall Love your Neighbor as Yourself. There is no other commandment greater than these."

1 Corinth 3:16-17 "Do you not discern and understand that you (the whole church at Corinth) are God's Temple (His sanctuary), and that God's Spirit has His permanent dwelling in you (to be at home in you, collectively as a church and also individually)? If anyone does hurt to God's temple or corrupts it (with false doctrines) or destroys it, God will do hurt to him and bring him to the corruption of death and destroy him. For the temple of God is Holy (Sacred to Him) and that (Temple) you (the believing church and its individual believers) are that Temple."
