Scripture References: (Amplified version of the Bible)
1 Corinth 6:19-20 "Do you not know that your body is the Temple (the very sanctuary) of the Holy Spirit Who lives within you, Whom you have received (as a gift) from God? You are not your own, You were bought with a price (purchased with a preciousness and paid for, made His own). So then, honor God and bring Glory to Him in your Body."
Romans 12:1-2 "I appeal to you therefore, breathern, and beg of you in view of (All) the mercies of God, to make a decisive dedication of your bodies (presenting all your members and faculties) as a Living Sacrifice, Holy (devoted, consecrated) and well pleasing to God, which is your reasonable (rational, intelligent) service and spiritual worship. Do not be conformed to this world (this age), (fashioned after and adapted to its external, superficial customs), but be transformed (changed) by the (entire) renewing of your mind (by its new ideals and its new attitude), so that you may prove (for yourselves) what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God, even the thing which is good and acceptable and perfect (in His sight for you)."
Mark 12:30-31 "And you shall Love the Lord your God out of and with your whole heart and out of and with all your soul (your life) and out of and with all your mind (with your faculty of thought and your moral understanding) and out of and with all your strength (physical body). This is the first and principal commandment. The second is like it and is this, You shall Love your Neighbor as Yourself. There is no other commandment greater than these."
1 Corinth 3:16-17 "Do you not discern and understand that you (the whole church at Corinth) are God's Temple (His sanctuary), and that God's Spirit has His permanent dwelling in you (to be at home in you, collectively as a church and also individually)? If anyone does hurt to God's temple or corrupts it (with false doctrines) or destroys it, God will do hurt to him and bring him to the corruption of death and destroy him. For the temple of God is Holy (Sacred to Him) and that (Temple) you (the believing church and its individual believers) are that Temple."
